My Inspirations!

  Hey there!   I wanted to talk about some of my many inspirations that I have when pursuing my journey with voice acting / voice over! I hope you enjoy the read!   To begin, I want to revisit my childhood by remembering the 2000 PS1 game “Spider-Man”. In this game, Peter Parker, also known as the Amazing Spider-Man, is at a science expo where a fake Spider-Man steals a device, and the real Spider-Man is tasked to clear his name as well as fight some familiar foes. During the later stages of the game, you encounter the infamous and deadly foe named Carnage, a crazed alien symbiote with murderous intent. In the game, his voice was portrayed by Dee Bradley Baker. His portrayal had the alien symbiote with this manic high-pitched voice, where each word is enunciated and drawn out to really “revel” in the madness of Carnage’s sanity. As a kid, I was hooked. My introduction to voice acting auditions!

  Hey there!   I wanted to talk about my journey with one of the biggest parts of voice acting, Auditions. For people that might not be as accustomed to the concept, Auditioning is one of the biggest aspects of voice acting because that effort is about ‘getting your foot in the door’. When I was just starting out, I would focus heavily on the projects that I wanted to be a part of, but I would have I didn’t know where to start. The first website I found voice acting auditions on a website called BehindTheVoiceActor. BehindTheVoiceActor was a website where voice acting enthusiasts could present projects (usually fandubs or the act of redubbing a piece of media with a new cast, or comic dubs, the acting of providing more life to a comic book/manga) for people interested in the franchise to ‘throw their hat in the ring’ and audition.
